MERRY XMAS

It is christmas festive season again. I would like to than all you dear readers who have faithfully followed me in this blog. It has been a lazy year for me but promise promise I will be active next year and bring much more news and life.
After I post this, I will be out of my station and join the mob in the streets as we make merry in a sensible way. Please please folks do no drink and drive. Do not walk in lonely paths, and be vigilant always...
We will meet next year; same spot

Its unfortunate that the year had to start with the mourning of a Kenyan Hero-the Late Benerd Hinga-the first African Police Commissioner who died last week and will be burried tomorrow(5th Jan 07). we should pay tribute to Hinga by maybe doing an article on him as his history in the Kenyan Security system is worth mention.he oversaw some of Kenya's harddest assasination crisis-the deaths of GAma Pinto, Tom Mboya, JM KAriuki. these deaths occured when he was at the helm of the police force.

Dear John,

I have followed some of your journalism from Scotland, in the UK, and wondered if you would be able to get in touch. I am a BBC journalist trying to research a story that you have covered in the past. I hope you would be able to help. Please email me at liam.mcdougall@bbc.co.uk and perhaps we can chat further. Best wishes.

Hi John,
You have been very quiet since last year, wats up? You should get more active on your blog. Well hope to hear from you soon. Cheers

Dear John,

I am researching AIDS/HIV and especially the theory that it hs been fraudulently publiscised as a viral disease when it is infact not. I read an article where the author by the name of John Kamau made similar claims and would be most grateful if you could get in touch to discuss this further or to confirm that you did indeed write that article.

Many thanks

Dear John

I am writing a paper about popular perceptions of Mau Mau in contemporary Kenya, and was wondering if you might have any thoughts about the popular sentiment regarding the Mau Mau uprising in the 1950s? I wonder whether the public tend to see this as a positive moment in their history, or as a negative one?
There are clearly many complex political trajectories traceable to the period, shaping the current ethno-political landscape.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this matter,
Best wishes,
Samuel Hampton
